Laura Bohlander is a classical mezzo-soprano and traditional vocalist based in Germany and Greece. She studied historically informed performance practice at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and has since studied various styles of traditional music from around the Mediterranean, taking a particular interest in Greek vocal traditions. She currently studies with Bettina Pahn.
Laura has had the pleasure of participating in masterclasses with Emma Kirkby, Ulrike Hofbauer, and Claire Lefilliatre, among others.
She performs regularly as a soloist and also with a variety of ensembles. She is a founding member of the medieval music ensemble LYRAE and is always developing new musical projects.
When not performing, Laura teaches voice and does language coaching for singers.
